CAD Programmer

Job Description

Synerfac is seeking a CAD Programmer for our client in Norfolk, VA. Our client is a family owned company that manufactures valves for military and industrial applications. The CAD Programmer will be joining a company where their employees are their most treasured assets.

The CAD Programmer will work cross-functionally to drive process improvements and manage product transitions from development to production by:

- Designing, developing and qualifying the manufacturing processes, tooling and equipment

- Creating technical documentation to support manufacturing and/or assembly of various products

- Taking part in 'Root-Cause' problem solving activities

- Use design software to produce 2D and/or 3D designs, Incorporate manufacturing feedback into 3D model designs and revise 2D Drawings as requested

- A Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering is required

- Exposure to CAD(preferably Inventor and/or Solidworks)

- Work History must include 2 years in a manufacturing environment, preferably CNC Machining, collaborating with CNC Department for CNC Milling and CNC Turning

- Must be hands-on with Mastercam, process oriented, and have a high attention to detail
