Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced IT Senior Project Manager to lead a large-scale enterprise technology replacement project within the Material and Child Health sector. The ideal candidate will ensure that project goals and objectives are met within the prescribed time frame, funding parameters, and requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Execution: Implement project plans and activities following best practices in project management, ensuring the quality and integrity of information throughout the project lifecycle.
Stakeholder Interaction: Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization, including senior leadership and executives, to achieve project goals and enhance business processes.
Requirement Gathering: Facilitate the establishment of detailed project requirements, defining and documenting project scope, objectives, requirements, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders and technical resources.
Schedule Management: Create, manage, and maintain the project schedule from inception to completion.
Independent Project Management: Ensure that assigned projects meet customer expectations and outcomes.
Team Leadership: Conduct project team status meetings to track milestones and dependencies.
Progress Monitoring: Provide regular status reports on project health, risks, and issues to stakeholders.
Risk Management: Identify and mitigate potential roadblocks, providing solutions to ensure successful project outcomes.
Change Control: Document, review, and approve project scope changes, managing project constraints such as time, cost, scope, resources, quality, and risk.
Documentation: Ensure IT systems and workflows are well-documented for future reference, participating in QA and UAT planning and execution.
Post-Implementation Review: Perform post-implementation reviews to assess goal achievement and identify lessons learned. Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business, or a related field.
Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years in project management or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Project Management Expertise: Strong understanding of project management methodologies and experience leading medium to large-scale IT projects.
Stakeholder Engagement: Proven ability to work with stakeholders to achieve their goals, with excellent organizational, multi-tasking, and time management skills.
Communication Skills: Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate across all levels of the organization.
Problem-Solving Skills: Advanced troubleshooting, critical thinking, and analytical problem-solving abilities.
Relationship Building: Ability to develop productive working relationships, communicate clearly, and collaborate effectively across the organization.
Vendor Management: Demonstrable experience in managing vendor relations and partnerships within the project lifecycle.
Independence and Initiative: High degree of independence, intuition, and initiative, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain composure under pressure.
Technical Proficiency: Proficiency with Microsoft Project, Visio, and Office.
Industry Experience: Prior healthcare industry experience is highly preferred.
Certifications: PMP, Scrum, or similar certifications are desired.
Specialized Experience: Experience with new COTS implementations and a strong understanding of healthcare enterprise systems are highly desired.
