We are recruiting for a Litigation Legal Assistant for an Insurance Defense Firm in Dadeland Area! No need to drive to Downtown Miami!
The successful candidate must have a minimum of 4 years of litigation legal experience to support attorneys in all phases of litigation. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and able to manage a fast-paced workload.
This is an onsite position.
Key Responsibilities:
Draft and prepare legal documents including pleadings, discovery requests/responses, subpoenas, and correspondence.
Manage attorney calendars, schedule depositions, hearings, and court deadlines.
Perform electronic court filings in state and federal courts.
Organize and maintain case files, exhibits, and trial binders (physical and electronic).
Communicate with clients, courts, experts, and opposing counsel.
Assist in preparing attorneys for hearings, depositions, mediations, and trials.
Review and summarize medical records and other evidence.
Maintain billing records and time entries accurately.
Qualifications:
4+ years of experience as a litigation legal assistant or paralegal.
Knowledge of legal terminology, court rules, and procedures.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal software (e.g., iManage, Clio, or similar).
Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
Ability to multitask and meet tight deadlines.
Experience with e-filing in both state and federal courts preferred.
