Medical Claims Appeals Specialist

Job Description

Responsibilities:

Billing and Coding Claims for inpatient and outpatient services

Work Aging Claims appeals and follow up

Data Entry

Medical Records request for processing of claims

Scanning EOB's and ERA's

Returning patient billing phone calls

Overseeing and working rejected claims from Clearing house

Qualifications:

Previous experience in medical billing and coding minimum of 3 years experience

Insurance Knowledge (Required)

Strong leadership qualities

Ability to work under pressure

ICD 10 Knowledge ( Required)

CPT coding Knowledge ( Required)

AAPC Certification for Billing and Coding preferred but not required

Bilingual preferred but not required

Clearing house Knowledge

E-clinical Works preferred but not required
