Job Title: Inventory Control Coordinator

Reports To: Inventory Manager

FLSA Status: Exempt

Schedule: 8a.m to 4:45 pm Monday through Friday, occasional off hours and weekends.

Position Summary

We are a fast-paced 3PL operation seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Inventory Control Coordinator. In this critical role, you’ll be responsible for maintaining inventory accuracy from product receipt through put-away, cycle counting, and verification. You will support key fulfillment accounts, ensuring that products are accurately stored, tracked, and accounted for in our WMS system. Collaboration with other departments will be essential in resolving discrepancies, planning inventory needs, and improving processes.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-moving environment, is comfortable with warehouse management systems, and can think both tactically and strategically about inventory flow.

Key Responsibilities

Serve as the subject-matter expert for assigned fulfillment accounts.

Maintain accurate stock levels and location assignments.

Monitor and communicate low or obsolete inventory levels.

Perform scheduled and ad-hoc cycle counts.

Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.

Update and maintain records in the WMS system (Infoplus).

Communicate with internal teams, vendors, and customers regarding inventory matters.

Assist with receiving, put-away, and returns as needed.

Analyze stock rotation practices and recommend improvements.

Review reorder reports and alert on inventory below minimum levels.

Assist in other departments during peak periods or special projects.

Maintain a clean and safe work environment.

Manage the replenishment process by keeping primary pick locations consistently stocked to support efficient order fulfillment.

Minimum Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, or Supply Chain Management preferred.

3–5 years of experience in inventory control or warehouse operations.

Strong computer proficiency, with emphasis on Excel and inventory software.

Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and use of handheld scanners.

Ability to read and interpret documents such as SOPs, work instructions, and inventory reports.

Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.

Forklift experience (stand-up) or willingness to be trained and certified.

Physical Requirements & Work Environment

Must be able to stand, walk, and use hands for extended periods.

Regularly required to lift up to 20 lbs; occasionally up to 50 lbs.

Ability to stoop, kneel, or crouch as needed.

Must have good vision, including depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Exposure to warehouse environments including heat, cold, and moderate noise.

Occasional extended shifts or weekend hours during peak seasons or critical projects.
