Description:

The Recertification Administrator is responsible for managing the annual and interim tenant recertification process in accordance with HUD, LIHTC, and other regulatory agency guidelines. This role ensures tenant files remain in compliance and all documentation is accurate and timely.

Key Responsibilities:

Coordinate and process annual and interim recertifications for all residents.

Ensure compliance with HUD, Tax Credit (LIHTC), Section 8, and other affordable housing program regulations.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date tenant files, including income verifications, asset documentation, and other required paperwork.

Communicate with residents regarding recertification requirements, deadlines, and missing information.

Input and update data in property management software (e.g., Yardi, OneSite, RealPage).

Generate and review compliance reports to ensure timely completion of recertifications.

Work closely with property managers, leasing agents, and compliance teams to ensure smooth file audits.

Prepare for agency audits and respond to findings or corrective action requests.

Attend training sessions to stay current with changes in housing regulations and compliance requirements. Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in business, public administration, or related field preferred.

2+ years of experience in affordable housing, property management, or compliance-related roles.

Knowledge of HUD, LIHTC, Section 8, or other housing program regulations.

Strong organizational and time management skills with attention to detail.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and property management software (e.g., Yardi, RealPage).

Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet strict deadlines. Preferred Certifications:

Certified Occupancy Specialist (COS)

Tax Credit Specialist (TCS)

Housing Credit Certified Professional (HCCP)

HUD or LIHTC compliance training

Compensation: $50,000 to $55,000 annually

Salary is based on a range of factors that include relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications.
