Summary/objective
Students 2 Science (S2S), Inc is a non-profit organization with a mission to inspire and empower all students through hands-on learning experiences, encouraging them to pursue careers in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) to strengthen the future workforce.
The ISAAC Program (Improving Student Affinity and Aptitude for Careers in STEM) provides students with authentic and rigorous STEM work experience in a state-of-the-art commercial laboratory.
The V-Lab Program (Virtual Laboratory) conducts laboratory instructional sessions via a collaborative communication platform. The program includes science kits, detailed lessons, and lesson plans with how-to videos, all aligned to the Next Generation Science Standards. This onsite position reports to the Director of Operations. The objective of this role is to manage various administrative tasks that supports our program operations at the Newark Technology Center in Newark, NJ. Hours: 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM
Essential functions
Facilitate correspondence between schools, organization, and volunteers ensuring proper coordination with key stake holders
Manage all aspects of program registration including assisting teachers, school administrators, and volunteers with the S2S registration portal
Greet and welcome volunteers, teachers and students at the start of the program each day
Secure signed consent and release forms from all volunteers, teachers, and guardians of students attending a program at S2S prior to participation in an event
Manage daily roster of volunteers, students, and teachers entering the S2S facility
Maintain database of program events, volunteers and volunteer opportunities, student and teacher rosters, and school stake holders through S2S' CRM (Salesforce)
Provide periodic program performance reports to program and organization leadership
Track student participation for all ISAAC/V-Lab programs and provide data on an as needed basis.
Manage facility: maintain pantry and order supplies
Support ISAAC, V-Lab, and Development team as needed Competencies
Demonstrated strong computer and technical skills in CRM management and Microsoft Office applications
Self-directed individual with initiative, creativity, analytical and organizational skills
Willingness and interest to contribute to a non-profit
Ability to interface with the public and offer outstanding customer service
Able to communicate information and ideas clearly and articulately both in oral and written form

A significant amount of time is spent sitting and standing. Must be able to read, write and understand English. Good auditory and visual skills are required. This in-office position will be based in the Newark Technology Center.
Required education and experience
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience
Experience working in CRM applications
Intermediate Excel skills
At least 3 years related work experience Preferred education and experience
