ProDirectional is currently seeking high caliber directional drillers who will function as the project lead on multiple types of directional drilling projects in the field. As the company's representative in all interactions with the client and third parties on site, you will use your technical expertise and sound judgement to ensure that projects are completed efficiently, profitably, and to our client's satisfaction.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Provide on-site supervision of the directional drilling process.
Negotiate resolution of any problems or issues that arise to ensure client satisfaction.
Monitor drilling operations and make adjustments as necessary.
Proficient in the use of drilling software, such as Well Seeker.
Has knowledge of the basic principles of BHA (Bottom Hole Assembly) and proper torque and handling.
Work with our MWD personnel on site to ensure operating parameters are within the planned specifications, well path, and target coordinates.
Review and approve all necessary documentation (i.e. Invoicing, Tool Inventory, Personnel Tracking, Daily Reports, End of Well Reporting, and other reports as needed).
Maintain equipment records.
Qualifications
Minimum 2+ years of experience as a Directional Driller
Must be able to read and understand directional survey reports and well plans
Must be able to understand and follow all safety protocols and complete necessary training and required certification programs (i.e. Safeland).
Basic computer skills and knowledge of database programs and drilling software.
Strong team member with effective communication and interpersonal skills to work with all levels of wellsite personnel.
Must possess a valid driver's license.
This is a field position that requires 24/7 on call, Monday – Sunday.
