Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounting Manager to lead our accounting operations and ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial records. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of accounting principles, and a passion for process improvement and team development.
Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), the Accounting Manager will be responsible for overseeing daily accounting operations, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records, and leading process improvements. This is a key leadership role that requires strong analytical skills, a collaborative mindset, and a passion for excellence in financial management.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee daily operations of the accounting department including A/P, A/R, GL, bank reconciliations, and payroll
Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements
Ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end close processes
Manage budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
Maintain and ensure compliance with internal controls and financial policies
Coordinate audits and liaise with external auditors and tax advisors
Prepare quarterly and year-end tax forms.
Supervise and mentor accounting staff; provide coaching, training, and performance evaluations
Assist with the implementation and enhancement of accounting systems and procedures
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including supervisory experience
Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting
Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., Epicor) and Excel
Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications:
High level of integrity and confidentiality
Knowledge of ERP systems and process automation tools
Strong project management skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
