The Revenue Cycle Managers primary responsibility is to be managing the company's revenue cycle from scheduling to check-in to check out and billing/collections. The Revenue Cycle Manager has responsibility for staffing, including hiring and firing, training, team development, patient management, reporting and technology to support the RCM department.

Works with: CFO, Director of Technology, Director of Operations
Responsibilities:
Assist with oversight of the Revenue Cycle line of business operations
Work collaboratively with Revenue Cycle leaders to exceed KPI expectations
Innovate and implement strategies to increase retention and efficiency
Report regularly on delivery timelines
Communicate changes, feedback, and trends to the Revenue Cycle team
Maintain positive client relationships
Meet with Providers monthly to discuss and review coding results, denials, and opportunities
Complete audits for providers by doing in-depth analysis on their coding and denial rates
Assist with defining and revising roles and responsibilities for team members
Review metrics for intake, billing, collections, and payment posting, determines team goals and develops strategic processes to maximize team efficiency and revenue
Complete month end reports and analysis, including board meeting presentations and dashboards
Management of EMR RCM related systems (maintenance and initial set up of new mods)
Manage uploading of new and annual increases of contracts
Contract analysis and assisting with contract negotiations, in addition to, working with contract managers to resolve contractual issues
Assist the organization or management companies in determining carveout requests, rate increases, and contract terms
Identify process improvements, software needed for increased productivity and revenue, and other suggestions to the center to streamline the RCM process
Create a strong team environment and culture by working with each department Manager and staff member to ensure the team has all the tools necessary for high quality and productive work output
Other duties as assigned, such as: special projects assigned
Organizational Parameters:
Work with all senior leadership of the Revenue Cycle team to determine appropriate staffing levels, staff development, process improvement, and client relationships
Work with the human resources team for initiatives related to recruiting, recruiting forecasting, talent development, learning, teammate onboarding, and performance.Requirements
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Education:
High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum of 6 years’ experience leading specialty RCM departments, and a track record as a mentor while providing quality assurance leadership in a test lead capacity
Experience with E-Clinical Works, and Waystar clearinghouse
Intermediate computer skills and proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and adjust priorities appropriately in an evolving work environment with shifting time frames; self-starter with high degree of initiative, urgency, and follow through
Demonstrated strengths in organizational, attention-to-detail, follow-through, reasoning, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills with an acute ability to listen attentively and to communicate information clearly and effectively throughout all levels of the organization with audiences of varying degrees of familiarity with technical material
Strong analytical skills with the ability to seek underlying assumptions through probing, questioning, and listening
Experience with managing a team in similar organization size and scope
Successful track record of effective coordination, prioritization, collaborations, organization, and project delivery
Extensive knowledge of revenue cycle performance, including knowledge of best practices required
Knowledge of basic accounting procedures with some accounting background in a medically related environment
Knowledge of medical terminology and coding

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Education:
Bachelor's degree in related field preferred
Experience working with specialty physician practices, prior approval processes, and insurance denials
Coding certification
Experience working with Ancillary Services, Lab, Imaging, injections
Strong Microsoft Office skills in Excel, Outlook, and Teams
