Job Description

The Building Information Modeling (BIM) Coordinator will oversee the management and coordination of BIM efforts, focusing on MEP systems. This role ensures the integrity, quality and adherence to project specifications for Revit and AutoCAD BIM models. The BIM Coordinator will collaborate with internal and external teams, facilitate file exchanges, provide training and technical support and resolve any BIM-related issues. They will lead BIM coordination meetings and ensure that all stakeholders are aligned with project goals and timelines.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Design/Drafting preferred.

• Associate Degree in Design/Drafting with at least 2 years’ of reinvent work experience.

• Ability to effectively communicate with diverse stakeholders, including architects, engineers, contractors and clients.

• Proficient in Revit and AutoCAD software for Building Information Modeling (BIM) is a plus.

• Proficient in Microsoft 365 and Office suite to include Teams, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

• Knowledge of construction processes, building design principles, and industry standards.

• Valid Texas Driver’s License with acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) and background check is required.

Typical Duties

• Will perform BIM model management and Revit/AutoCAD BIM development, as directed by client senior engineering.

• Monitor BIM model quality, ensuring data integrity and adherence to project specifications.

• Create and maintain CNG’s Revit MEP models and AutoCAD MEP drawing packages per company standards and processes.

• Coordinate with external and internal project teams regarding project scope and model/drawing configuration.

• Coordinate Revit and AutoCAD file exchanges with external team members.

• Provide training on BIM software and procedures to project team members.

• Revit and AutoCAD technical support for all team members (internal and external).

• Lead regular meetings to address BIM model clashes, design issues and project updates.

• Performs other duties, tasks and special projects as assigned.
