Cybersecurity Analyst

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented, proactive, and highly analytical Cybersecurity Analyst to join our growing team. Key Responsibilities:

Monitor networks and systems for security breaches, threats, and vulnerabilities

Conduct security assessments, risk analysis, and vulnerability scans

Investigate and respond to security incidents, breaches, and alerts

Maintain and configure firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and other security tools

Develop and implement security policies, standards, and procedures

Conduct internal audits and ensure compliance with industry regulations (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR, NIST, ISO 27001)

Collaborate with IT and development teams to integrate security best practices into infrastructure and applications

Prepare detailed reports and recommendations for management

Stay up to date with the latest security trends, threats, tools, and regulations

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field

2–5 years of experience in cybersecurity, information security, or network security

Strong understanding of firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, antivirus, and SIEM systems

Familiarity with frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, CIS Controls, or MITRE ATT&CK

Experience with tools such as Splunk, Wireshark, Nessus, or Qualys

Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills

Relevant certifications preferred (e.g., CompTIA Security+, CEH, CISSP, CISM, GSEC)

Strong communication skills and ability to present technical information clearly
