Full-Time Medical Assistant

The primary purpose of the Medical Assistant / MA is to help the providers with patient care and prepare exam rooms. This role will report to the Practice Administrator and be guided by the Office Nurse. This is a full-time role that will require travel between both offices- Lutherville and Johnston Professional Building. CCMA Required. Five years of Medical Assistant experience required.

WAGE

$19-$21 per hour + $2,000 Retention Bonus

Retention Bonus Details

The retention bonus is offered to all new Medical Assistants, with $500 after the first 6 months of employment and $1,500 after the next 6 months of employment. A total of 12 months of employment for $2,000.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES of the Medical Assistant / MA

The Medical Assistant / MA is responsible for assisting Physicians, Mid-Level Practitioners, and Registered Nurses with the evaluation, management, and treatment of patients in an ambulatory care setting.

The Medical Assistant / MA assumes responsibility for maintaining patient flow, the upkeep of exam and treatment rooms, and performing basic skills such as review of systems and vital signs.

The Medical Assistant / MA will prepare intramuscular injections, and over-the-counter medications under the direction of a Physician or Nurse.

The Medical Assistant / MA must be able to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 30 pounds.

Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS of the Medical Assistant / MA

High School diploma or GED equivalent

Minimum of five years clinical experience required

Current CPR Certification required

Medical Assistant Certificate required

ENT experience preferred

Ability to work in a high stress, fast paced environment

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY

This position has no supervisory responsibility.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Current Medical Assistant Certification by AAMA, AMT, NHA, or NCCT REQUIRED.

All employees are required to provide proof of vaccination or exemption.
