Job Description:

As a Flux Core Welder, you will be responsible for welding metal components using flux-cored arc welding (FCAW) techniques. You will work with a variety of materials, including steel, stainless steel, and other alloys, to produce high-quality welds for various projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform flux core welding on carbon steel, stainless steel, and other metals.

Interpret blueprints, schematics, and welding symbols to determine the proper welding process.

Set up and operate welding equipment, including welding machines, tools, and accessories.

Inspect and measure workpieces to ensure that they meet specifications and quality standards.

Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all safety protocols and regulations.

Troubleshoot and resolve any welding issues or equipment malfunctions.

Perform weld repairs as needed and ensure all completed welds meet or exceed quality standards.

Qualifications:

Proven experience as a Flux Core Welder, with a minimum of 2 years of welding experience.

Proficient in flux core welding techniques, including FCAW on a variety of metals.

Strong understanding of welding safety practices and procedures.

Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and welding symbols.

Certifications in welding (e.g., AWS, ASME) preferred but not required.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift 50 pounds and work in physically demanding conditions.

Comfortable working in confined spaces and at heights as necessary.
