IBM System Administrator (Remote)

Position Overview: The IBM System Administrator will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting IBM z/OS systems and related software. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in mainframe environments, particularly with z/OS and associated technologies. This role requires a proactive individual with strong problem-solving skills and a commitment to maintaining high-performance systems.

Key Responsibilities:

Install, configure, and maintain IBM z/OS operating systems and subsystems.

Manage and support ZOSMF and SMP/E environments.

Perform dump analysis to diagnose and resolve system issues.

Provide technical expertise in Assembler language for system-level coding and debugging.

Maintain and support Broadcom Top Secret security system to ensure data protection and compliance.

Oversee CICS installation, debugging, and performance optimization.

Generate and analyze SMF reports for performance monitoring and system tuning.

Utilize SAS and MXG for advanced data analysis and reporting.

Manage and support Broadcom program products such as CA 1, CA 7, and Endevor.

Ensure robust network connectivity and troubleshoot networking issues in mainframe environments.

Qualifications:

5+ years of hands-on experience with IBM z/OS systems.

Proficiency in ZOSMF and SMP/E installation and maintenance.

Strong knowledge of Assembler language and dump analysis.

Expertise in Broadcom CA-Top Secret highly preferred

Experience with CICS installation, debugging, and performance tuning.

Demonstrated experience with SMF reporting, SAS, and MXG.

Familiarity with Broadcom products like CA 1, CA 7, and Endevor.

Strong networking knowledge in mainframe environments.
