Hours: 7:30am-4pm

Rate: $24-25/hr

Responsibilities:

- Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, or sketches from specified material. This material includes cast aluminum, aluminum shapes, metal, cast acrylic, Lexan, and other plastics.

- Attach components and test mechanics.

- Fabricate according to plans.

- Collaborate with design staff and other team members to refine designs and ensure manufacturability.

- Measure, cut, shape, and assemble materials to specified dimensions.

- Use hand and bench power tools, torsion wrenches, jigs, and assembly fixtures. May use precision measuring devices.

- Perform light welding on aluminum shapes and castings.

- Maintain a clean, neat, and safe work environment.

Requirements:

- Must have a minimum of 5 years of general fabrication experience

- Ability to follow through on assignments in a timely manner

- Proven experience as a fabricator or similar role

- Strong knowledge of materials and fabrication techniques

- Experience reading AutoCAD prints

- Five or more years of experience with hand tools and general fabrication equipment.

- Layout and measuring experience

- Excellent attention to detail

- Ability to work independently and with others.

- Basic computer skills

- Aluminum welding experience is a plus

- Must be able to lift to 50lbs.

- Must be able to stand on your feet for long periods of time.
