As a Lead Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within US Wealth Management, you are an integral part of an agile team that works to enhance, build, and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. As a core technical contributor, you are responsible for conducting critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm’s business objectives.
Job responsibilities:
Develop AI models and algorithms to address complex business challenges.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate AI solutions into existing systems and applications.
Conduct research to stay abreast of advancements in AI, machine learning, and related technologies.
Deploy, manage, and optimize AI models on AWS cloud infrastructure.
Engineer the control plane for provisioning, automation, scaling, integrations, and self-service, making it accessible to thousands of applications.
Create intuitive user interfaces for AI-driven products using React.Utilize Java for robust and scalable backend development.
Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
Work closely with product managers and stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts with 5+ years of applied experience.
Proven experience as an AI Engineer or similar role, with a strong portfolio of AI projects.
Proficiency in React for front-end development and Java or python for backend development.
Experience with AWS services such as EC2, S3, Lambda. Infrastructure-as-code experience, particularly with Terraform.
Strong understanding of machine learning frameworks and libraries (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn).
Familiarity with data processing and analysis tools (e.g., Pandas, NumPy).
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Strong communication skills to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Formal training or certification in Python, with advanced proficiency.
Practical experience in architecting and developing applications on major public cloud providers
Industry cloud certifications are a bonus.
Knowledge of industry-wide technology strategies and best practices.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
Prior financial or banking experience is a plus.
Experience SRE, Security, Observability & Performance as part of all owned applications/deliverables is a plus..
Certifications and Methodologies: Formal training in Python and experience with Agile methodologies are highlighted, along with infrastructure-as-code experience.
Full stack application development experience is plus. Preferably REACT
