TITLE: Accounting Specialist
QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma or equivalent
2 years' experience in accounting or related field
Capable of working in both a team-oriented environment and independently
Ability to maintain confidentiality
Ability to communicate clearly, timely and accurately
Adaptable and capable of performing under the pressure of deadlines REPORTS TO: Chief Financial Officer
JOB GOAL: To contribute to effective financial operation and management of the district.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manage and oversee the financial aspects of the District's Extended Care program
Collect required enrollment information
Record and match deposits, create and reconcile monthly statements
Notify schools and parents for non-payments
Provide year-end tax statements
Liaison with district vendor, MySchoolBucks (MSB)
Issue refunds as needed
Manage the Districts' Amazon account
Administrator of on-line payments
Handle district-wide credit card payments to Activity Funds
Assist in performing accounts payable tasks and processes
Assist in handling general and activity fund deposits
Assist Chief Financial Officer and other Business Office personnel with tasks as needed
Other duties as assigned
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Twelve-month contract. Secretary/Clerical Pay Table, Grade 5
EVALUATION: Performance of this job will be evaluated annually in accordance with provisions of the Board's policy on evaluation of noncertified personnel.
