Pediatric Dental Assistant

Our client, located in Springfield, OR is seeking a compassionate and skilled Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) to join their pediatric dental practice in Oregon.

The ideal candidate will be experienced in providing high-quality care to children, assisting in a variety of dental procedures, and ensuring a comfortable and positive experience for young patients.

Key Responsibilities:Assist pediatric dentists with restorative, preventive, and emergency procedures.Comfort and engage young patients to ease dental anxiety.Take and process digital X-rays in compliance with Oregon state regulations.Educate parents and children on oral hygiene and preventive care.Maintain strict sterilization and infection control protocols.Manage patient records, schedule appointments, and coordinate treatment plans using dental software.Ensure dental instruments and equipment are properly sterilized and maintained.Collaborate with the dental team to ensure seamless clinic operations.

Required Qualifications:Oregon EFDA CertificationRadiology Certification (Oregon Board of Dentistry)Coronal Polishing & Sealant CertificationCPR & First Aid CertificationKnowledge of HIPAA & OSHA ComplianceExperience working with children in a dental setting preferredStrong communication and teamwork skillsProficiency in dental software (Dentrix, Eaglesoft, Open Dental a plus).
