The Role: We are searching for an independent, self-motivated and detail-oriented Credit Analyst that is looking for an opportunity for growth. In this role, you will provide recommendations on credit applications, evaluate financial information, develop financial analyses, and interpret and apply credit standards.

What You Need:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics or related field
Experience: 2+ years in of related experience
Skills: Ability to communicate complicated information to our internal customers and exceed customer expectations.

Loan Request Analysis
Assesses creditworthiness of borrowers by:
Developing long and/or short-term financial projections based on customer financial data
Analyzing capital, capacity, collateral, character and conditions of the borrower
Comparing the borrower’s overall financial position to industry and core lending standards
Identifying potential risks of the proposed loan
Reviews financial information provided by borrower, determines adequacy of data and requests additional data as needed
Determines best approach to consolidating and utilizing the financial data to make a credit recommendation
Writes credit narratives summarizing results of credit assessment
Recommends approval or denial of loans and the structure and loan conditions to support the recommendation
Communicates with senior credit staff for necessary loan approval

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, economics or a related field
2+ years of related experience
Or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job
Required Knowledge and Skills
Working knowledge of the agriculture industry and the impact of current events on agricultural operations and credit
General knowledge of financial ratios
General knowledge of tax returns, profit and loss statements, balance sheets, cash flows and similar financial documents
General knowledge of the relationship between financial statements and operations
Skill in listening and conveying awareness of a customer's problem or issue to find resolution
Oral and written communication skills, sufficient to exchange information effectively with peers, supervisor and customers
Skill in utilizing Word, Excel and Outlook to increase efficiency and/or effectiveness
Responsible to appropriately protect the confidentiality, security, and integrity of the Association’s systems and data and clients’ data
