Salary:

IT company is in need of a Computer Technician to help support a broad corporate client base at their Columbia, SC location. Technician will be involved in the break-fix of laptop and desktop computers, installation of client devices including but not limited to printers, VOIP phones and headsets, WIFI access points, switches, etc. Daily activities include providing help desk tech support for software and hardware issues remotely and onsite as needed. Interpersonal skills are a must. Technician will need to dress business appropriately for possibility of onsite work. A+ Certification is required. Network+, Security+ or equivalent certifications preferred. Remote work capabilities are available. Technician will also need to be able to self-manage.

Experience in analyzing, troubleshooting, and installation for the following environments is desired:

Microsoft Windows OS (W10/W11)

Working knowledge of Macs & Apple devices

Break/fix on laptops and computers

General Email Applications (local & remote)

O365 and Azure

DHCP, DNS & WINS

Network Peripherals

Firewalls/Routers

Wireless Networks

Microsoft Server OS 2012 & up

Virus Removal

Work hours are Monday-Friday 8:30am-5:30pm. Occasionally, special circumstances may require after-hours or weekend/holiday work. After-hours duty is rotated by staff and earns additional pay. Technician will be responsible for completing service tickets on a daily basis.

Salary will depend on education, experience and certifications. Medical, dental, vision, and disability insurance are provided by employer after 90 days. Cost of medical insurance is split - 99% paid by company and 1% paid by employee. Dental, vision & disability are covered 100% by Blencowe. 401(k) program with company matching is available. Paid vacation time increases with length of employment (starting with 2 weeks vacation). Dependable vehicle is required, and mileage reimbursement is provided. Start date is immediate. Job offer contingent upon background check.
