Job Title: Estimator

Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Estimator to join our team. The Estimator will be responsible for analyzing project specifications, preparing detailed cost estimates, and providing the necessary support to ensure competitive and accurate bids are submitted in a timely manner.

Key Responsibilities:

Review and evaluate cost estimates.

Communicate with trade partners and team members regarding new and current projects.

Prepare and submit budget estimates and cost tracking reports.

Establish and maintain working relationships with vendors and subcontractors.

Utilize software for data analysis, forecasting, and budgeting.

Obtain and review offers and quotes by subcontractors or vendors.

Perform risk analysis to manage potential issues.

Ensure timely completion of estimates.

Understand contractual terms and conditions.

Assemble accurate and well-organized estimates and proposals in a timely manner for Stipulated Price, Design-Build, and Construction/Project Management formatted projects.

Provide clear detailed quantity take offs.

Organize sub-contractor's quotations, negotiate to ensure quotes meet contract documents and issue proper documented purchase orders.

Complete Budgeting and Scheduling for projects and track same. Monitor progress, requisition change orders and identify any potential risks.

Maintain relationships with existing clients to ensure client satisfaction and gain future projects.

Act as a liaison with project management and participate in BID review meetings with client or representatives.

Skills and Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in construction management, Engineering, or related field is not required but is a plus.

1-3 years of experience in construction estimating or a similar role.

Strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and market conditions.

Familiarity with construction software and databases.

Excellent organizational and project management skills.

Able to read architectural plans and develop cost estimates.

Proficiency in MS Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.

Strong communication and negotiation skills.

Ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines and work on multiple bids simultaneously.
