A Brief Overview
Senior level analyst in Corporate Decision Support.
What You Will Do
• Update Cost Accounting methodologies in the Strata Decision Support System (both hospital and professional), including Revenue and Overhead Allocations by RVUs, statistical drivers and cost/charge ratios.
• Maintain consistency in hospital and professional costing models.
• Compare current period data to prior period data for material changes. Investigate, validate and/or resolve any material changes.
• Review the cost model for integrity to ensure it reflects the standard methodology based on current GL, Payroll and EPIC loads.
• Ensure the cost models are periodically updated to reflect current model changes.
• Data load and audit of financial statements for Reporting. Includes identifying nonrelated items excluded from the current Strata Decision Support costing models.
• Upload and review changes in the costing models (hospital / professional) identified by the decision support team; includes revenue expense mapping, reclassed expenses and roll up structures.
• Ensures data integrity from source systems - Payroll, GL, and Medical Billing.
• Maintenance of EPIC patient data sets including integration reconciliation, patient data reasonability and StrataJazz dimension maintenance.
• Develop reports and analysis for management and department leaders.
• Update Adjusted Net Revenue through allocations; understands methodology used for current year criteria.
• Represent Decision Support department in meetings on various interdisciplinary topics.
• Update user security as needed.
Additional Responsibilities
• Assist with Corporate Budgeting, Parent Financial Analysis and Review, and Stat Methodologies during off cycles of costing.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Must abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for our patients. Annual training, the UH Code of Conduct and UH policies and procedures are in place to address appropriate use of PHI in the workplace.
Education Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree preferably in accounting, business, or related field. (Required)
• Master's Degree in Business. (Preferred)
Experience Qualifications
• 5+ years Accounting (Cost Accounting) / Finance (Hospital Billing) experience or related experience. (Required)
• Decision Support experience (Preferred)
• Working knowledge of Strata/EPSI, Oracle. Hospital/Professional Billing (Preferred).
