Senior .NET Developer

$103,650 - $157,830.00

The Office of the Chief Financial Officer (OCFO) whose mission is to enhance the fiscal and financial stability, accountability and integrity of the Government of the District of Columbia is in search of a Senior .NET Developer (IT Specialist .NET).This position is located in the Office of the Chief Financial Officer (OCFO), Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO).The Information Technology Specialist is responsible for designing, documenting, developing, modifying, testing, installing, implementing, and supporting new or existing applications software.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

Analyzing and refining system requirements and translating requirements into applications

Participating on project teams to establish business requirements for agency systems and providing technical solutions

Planning and coordinating the installation, configuration, testing, and ongoing maintenance of business applications

Planning and designing systems architecture

Resolving technical issues/deficiencies identified during internal and external audits

Evaluating new applications software technologies and providing recommendations

Installing, configuring, testing, and implementing vendor supplied modifications to existing database and tax application software

Developing and evaluating test data to validate program modifications

Documenting and implementing processes and procedures to ensure compliance

Performing other related duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications: Five (5) years of specialized experience performing the related duties and responsibilities related to expertise in System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) of application software; production support of enterprise applications; translating business requirements into technical solutions; and the ability to interact with various stakeholders. Knowledge of GenTax application software and a college degree in computer science or a related field is highly desired.
