The Anchorage Trial Court of the Alaska Court System is accepting applications to fill multiple bailiff positions for on-call, temporary employment.

As a bailiff, you will play an important role in helping the Alaska Court System fulfill its mission.

These positions escort jurors in and out of the courtroom before, after, and during trials, take charge of jury while in deliberation to ensure that no person communicates with the jurors, arrange meals, lodging, and/or transportation for jurors when necessary, accompany and remain with jurors to all meals, and run errands of a personal nature for jurors as needed.

The Schedule These positions are on-call and temporary, and may work multiple days in a row.

The applicant may be called in for as little as two hours or up to eight hours a day.

There may be gaps of a week or two without a shift.

Alternatively, you may be called back for consecutive-day coverage.

Minimum Qualifications Graduation from high school graduation or completion of a General Education Development (GED) certificate AND six months of responsible work experience which demonstrated the ability to deal tactfully with the public.
