Description
Individual is responsible for ensuring Procurement procedures and systems operate in a harmonized manner. The Analyst is responsible for training users on Procurement systems and is the first line of support for users of those systems. The Analyst identifies or receives process improvements and drives changes through testing and launch. This individual ensures consistent use of data and terminology across systems, procedures and documentation and identifies opportunities for standardization.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Training users acting and as Subject Matter Expert on Procurement systems
Configuring, testing and implementing improvements in Procurement systems including reporting capabilities, e.g., contract management, risk management
Implementing data standardization across systems, e.g., Purchasing categories, supplier information
Engaging with Business Intelligence teams to create and maintain reporting to support Procurement and Purchasing functions
Ensuring consistency and linkages between procedures, documentation and Procurement systems
Ensuring revisions to data and functionality are communicated across Procurement and site level Purchasing where appropriate.
Maintaining Procurement data reporting schedules, procedures and documents
Identifying and executing procedures for supplier communications and responses
Collecting and maintaining status of procedure and system improvement requests

Knowledge & Skills
Understanding of how data is entered and managed in relevant systems
Big picture thinking with analytical skills to the ability to align procedures and systems functions
Ability to identify inconsistencies in data across disconnected systems
Launching process improvements within Procurement systems and across disconnected systems
Strong presentation skills for training users
High attention to detail and organization for large amounts of data and documentation
Minimum Qualifications, Education & Experience
Must be at least 18 years of age
High school diploma or equivalent required
Bachelor’s degree in supply chain from an accredited college or university preferred
1-3 years of work experience required; experience with Purchasing and Payables preferred
Work Environment
This is largely a sedentary role.
This job operates in a professional office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment
This role may be performed at a location that is not part of a manufacturing site
This is a global support role requiring occasional non-standard hours
Travel Requirements
Typically requires travel less than 5% of the time
