As an HR Generalist with Sage Solutions Group, you will be integral to the HR operations for our clients. You will bring your experience in HR policy development, payroll processing, benefits enrollment, and compliance to the forefront. Your expertise will be crucial in supporting employee success, driving organizational growth, and ensuring smooth HR processes in a variety of functions.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop, implement, and train on comprehensive HR policies and procedures
Lead onboarding, open enrollment, and hiring processes with a focus on improving the employee experience
Manage payroll processing, benefits administration, compliance, and HR documentation to ensure accuracy and efficiency
Provide guidance on and administer FMLA, ADA, and unemployment claims
Collaborate with leadership to align HR strategies with business objectives and company goals
Provide general HR support and drive key HR projects
Manage the annual benefits enrollment process and ensure compliance with applicable laws
Ensure HR practices meet the needs of small to medium-sized organizations (under 100 employees)
What We’re Looking For:
A bachelor’s degree in business, HR, or a related field (HR degree preferred)
At least 2 years of direct HR experience, ideally as an HR Generalist in small to medium-sized organizations (under 100 employees)
Proven experience developing and implementing HR policies, managing payroll, and being involved in the annual benefits enrollment process
Hands-on experience with FMLA, ADA, and unemployment claims
Comfortable working in-person on site at various client locations in the metro Detroit area
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities
In-depth knowledge of labor laws and HR best practices
Excellent organizational, analytical, and leadership skills
A proactive approach with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively
Professional HR certification (SHRM, PHR, etc.) is a plus
