Operations Coordinator

Position Summary:

The Technician III is responsible for operational and comprehensive technical knowledge across multiple areas, leading a team to safely and efficiently execute their job duties while promoting and living out Pharmavite's s Operating Values. Demonstrated expertise in set-up and operation of production equipment and advanced maintenance skills, collaboration on problem-solving efforts, and initiation of process changes while expanding department capabilities. As the Subject Matter Expert (SME), displays the technical and administrative competence to initiate revisions to existing documents, troubleshoot existing procedures, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities:

Builds employee capability to support sustainable solutions addressing systemic issues. Provides leadership to develop team members’ problem-solving and technical knowledge to troubleshoot quality and operational issues.

Displays technical and administrative competence to organize and lead production activities, including demonstrating leadership in cGMP compliance and safety.

Secures time for assessments to expand capabilities and meet capability goals.

Tracks and structures various tasks, employees and documents.

Guides and coaches' operators; motivates the team to use their knowledge and skills to achieve shared goals.

Assists in communicating changes within shift change meetings; responsible for distributing information to team members and management clearly and effectively.

Performs additional leadership tasks as assigned to support business needs.

Collaborates with internal and external customers to align and ensure efficient flow of correct materials into manufacturing in accordance with production schedules.

Leads team to exceed daily shift Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) schedule adherence, changeovers, and identifies key losses to improve throughput and yield.

Identifies and performs adjustments to improve production during operations to meet all production and quality requirements, including line speeds, daily production output and required change over times.

Leads and trains on root cause problem-solving with urgency, ensures the team applies Lean Methodologies by implementing and sustaining corrective actions.

Leads, coordinates and executes equipment changeovers and work assignments to include setup and operation of production equipment.

Performs preventive maintenance and repairs on equipment by making regular inspections and completing assigned preventive maintenance work orders and assisting in diagnosing and repairing equipment.

Monitors the quantitative and qualitative achievements of Technicians/Leads and report results to a Department Leader.

Performs all duties in compliance with safety rules, Standard Operating Procedures and current Good Manufacturing Practices.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education

HS Diploma or equivalent education and experience/knowledge required.

Certification

Must have or complete PIT (Powered Industrial Trucks) certification training.

Experience

Demonstrated mastery in operating, troubleshooting changeover and repairing majority of all department equipment. Successful completion of the Pharmavite Technician Program.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and with continuous change initiatives.

Flexibility to change work assignments, departments, and shift based on business need.

Ability to plan, organize, coordinate and schedule multiple tasks with minimal supervision and adjust to changing priorities and assignments.

Strong oral and written communication skills and the ability to present concepts and ideas to multiple levels and influence peers within the organization.

Leads cGMP’s, safety practices, and operational goals to achieve performance objectives.

Capable of developing training material like one-point lessons and job instruction.

Strong problem solving and analytical skills.

Organize, lead, and execute changeover without assistance for critical equipment and more than 75% equipment/processes in area(s) of responsibility. Meet or exceed established standards.

Demonstrates mechanical aptitude to inspect equipment, perform preventive maintenance, routine repairs on equipment, and complete required maintenance tasks.

Improve individual operational and technical mastery over 75% of equipment/processes in assigned areas.

Performs work consistently by adhering to established Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), and customer requirements with all Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and Job Instructions (JI).

Ability to read and comprehend written instructions and communicate standard operating procedures, good manufacturing practices, safety practices and manufacturing standards ensuring accurate product count and correct labels for orders are used.

Application of basic math skills, to include addition, multiplication, and division to calculate and adjust equipment, calculate parameters, and quality control measures and the ability to do conversions and understand decimal placement according to requirements with use of electronic device.

Demonstrated knowledge of regulated health, sanitation, and safety requirements.

Physical ability to discern varieties of color, weights, flavor, and general appearance of product.

Advanced user in Production Management Systems (PLM, JDE LMS, MES).

Proficiency in MS Office Suite including Excel and PowerPoint.

Physical Requirements

Stands and/or walks for the full work shift, may have restricted flexibility to move from their stations unless relieved by others. Performs repetitive job duties. Intermittently lifts and or moves loads unassisted of up to 40 pounds and over 40 pounds with the use of pallet jacks (manual or powered), two-person lift, or other mechanical aids. Pulls/pushes boxes of product on/offline and/or pallets using pallet jack, hoists etc. Manual dexterity to operate equipment controls, production containers on a production line, and hand tools to assemble/disassemble parts of equipment and address quality variations. Required to walk up and down stairs and rolling platform with handrails. Role may include bending and scooping large quantities of products from the container and dumping into hopper above the head.

Environment

Constant exposure to noise levels loud enough to require employees to wear hearing protection. Warm temperature levels, fumes, vibration, dust, etc., sufficient to cause minor discomfort. Operating conditions may vary by department and areas. Employees are required to wear all PPE, i.e., protective eye wear, hearing protection, hair net, safety shoes, uniforms, etc. for assigned department.

Safety

The incumbent must be able to perform this job safely by following standard operating procedures and good manufacturing practices without endangering the health or safety of themself or others.

The salary range for this position is $ 39, 000- $63, 000.00.

Actual compensation will take into account a wide range of factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to geographic location, education, experience, qualifications, and job-related skills. It is not typical for an individual to be hired above the midpoint of the range for their role, and compensation decisions depend on the facts and circumstances of each case. Base pay is only one component of our total rewards offerings, and we will take the full offering into consideration when presenting an offer of employment. Our total rewards package for this position may also include an annual performance bonus, Medical, dental, and vision benefits, 401K match, and other wellness benefits.

Pharmavite provides compensation for all overtime hours worked by non-exempt (hourly) employees in accordance with state and federal law. The need to work overtime hours will be determined by management, based on customer and business necessity to meet the needs of our business, Pharmavite may require employees to work overtime.

Voluntary overtime requested by non-exempt employees must be approved in advance by the employee’s supervisor.
