Shift: 6:00am-2:30pm M-F

Pay: $20-23/hr

Job Summary:

Our client, a fast-growing manufacturer of architectural metal products, is seeking a skilled Shear Operator to join their team. The ideal candidate will have prior experience setting up and operating shear machines in a sheet metal environment and be confident using precision measuring tools. This role plays a vital part in ensuring quality output and maintaining efficient production flow.

Key Responsibilities:

Set up and operate a shear machine & Brake Press

Read and interpret blueprints accurately

Utilize calipers, squares, protractors, and other measuring tools

Comply with all safety and quality standards

Assist in various shop tasks as required

Maintain clean and organized workspace

Qualifications:

Minimum 1 year of shear operation experience required

2â 3 years of overall experience preferred

Prior experience in the sheet metal industry

High School Diploma or GED required

Strong understanding of blueprints and measuring techniques

Ability to lift up to 75 lbs repeatedly

Strong communication and teamwork skills

Reliable and punctual

Flexibility to work overtime and assist in multiple shop functions

Working Conditions:

Must be able to lift or maneuver up to 50 lbs regularly

Physically demanding position that requires standing for long periods

Fast-paced manufacturing environment
