Teach courses within the computer science and broader university curriculum, with a particular emphasis on courses focusing on technology ethics, including both the use and the development of technology, and courses focused on the development of leadership and character; mentor individual undergraduate and Masters-level graduate students on projects and theses; contribute to and develop co-curricular and extracurricular programming within the Department of Computer Science and Program for Leadership and Character; undertake Department of Computer Science, Program for Leadership and Character, and University services roles to support the day-to-day execution of Department of Computer Science, Program for Leadership and Character, and University functioning.
1 year of teaching experience.
This position requires demonstrated study, scholarship and teaching of ethical reasoning including lessons in philosophy, ethical theory and moral reasoning as encountered in emerging areas of computer science such as artificial intelligence and machine learning.
PhD in Computer Science, Philosophy, or related field. Foreign equivalents accepted.
