Quant Capital is urgently looking for a Windows PowerShell Engineer to join our high-profile client.

My client is a very well-known quantitative trading firm and marketmaker. This team has some of the best minds in Windows and Powershell Engineering.

My client has a mixed Windows and Linux environment, spread across physical and virtual machines. This position suits a talented Windows Engineer with an appetite to find the best way to solve a problem and a strong level of Powershell programming and automation focus.

As an Engineer you will focus on platform engineering designs, maintaining the firm's operating systems, authentication systems, databases, virtualization infrastructure, core network services, and messaging as well as endpoints on Windows and Linux in both our internal- and external-facing environments.

You will be tasked with the design, implementation, and integration of infrastructure systems, on Windows-based systems

The ideal Windows Engineer will have:

A STEM degree

Significant Windows systems automation experience is required.

Technical leadership experience

Project management experience

Excellent Powershell

An in-depth understanding of the Windows platform and related technologies (e.g., Active Directory and Failover Clustering) is required, as are excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, and familiarity with a variety of tracing tools.

Experience with common Windows Server applications and management tools (e.g., Exchange, SQL, SCCM, Hyper-V, and ADFS, etc.) is also preferred.

A working knowledge of network protocols, Linux, and information security concepts is

Experience integrating systems across on-premises and cloud-based environments

Experience working with containers on Windows and Linux is preferred.
