About the RoleWe are seeking a highly skilled Controller to lead our financial operations—including general ledger accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting—at a critical stage in our company’s expansion. This position supports financial planning and analysis (FP&A), compliance, and strategic decision-making across the organization. The ideal candidate will be an experienced finance leader with strong GAAP knowledge, manufacturing accounting experience, and ERP systems expertise.
Responsibilities
Lead daily operations of the accounting team, ensuring accurate and timely month-end and year-end closings
Manage the general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and financial reporting in accordance with GAAP
Oversee budgeting and forecasting processes; analyze variances and provide actionable insights to leadership
Develop and enforce internal controls and financial policies to support compliance and risk management
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax reporting and regulatory requirements
Lead cash management and optimize working capital
Coordinate and manage annual external audits and implement recommended improvements
Partner with senior leadership to support long-term strategic planning and evaluate funding opportunities
Drive continuous process improvement and accounting best practices
Leverage ERP and financial systems for reporting, analysis, and scalability
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA, CMA, or Master’s preferred
7+ years of progressive experience as a Controller, Accounting Manager, or similar leadership role in a manufacturing environment
Deep understanding of GAAP, financial compliance, and regulatory reporting
Proficiency in ERP systems (Oracle, SAP, INFOR, or similar) and advanced Excel skills
Demonstrated success in managing financial statements, budgets, and variance analysis
Strong leadership, team development, and cross-functional collaboration skills
Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and maintain discretion with confidential data
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication abilities
