The ideal candidate will possess a terminal degree in Computer Science or a closely related field, with a strong background in various computer science disciplines. This position is designed for experienced professionals who are passionate about teaching and mentoring graduate students in advanced computer science concepts, theories, and practical applications.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and deliver course content for graduate-level Computer Science classes.

Provide instruction in areas such as algorithms, data structures, software engineering, computer networks, databases, and operating systems.

Engage students through interactive and innovative teaching methods.

Assess and evaluate student performance through assignments, projects, and examinations.

Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation and engagement.

Stay current with advancements in computer science and incorporate them into the curriculum.

Collaborate with faculty and staff to ensure course content aligns with the program’s objectives and goals..

Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to curriculum development and review.

Support the institution’s Christian mission, including attendance a chapel services, scheduled or called meetings, commencement programs, and Faculty Forum meetings.

Provide a Christian role model for students.

Maintain a strong interest in the pursuit of knowledge and shares it with students and scholars.

Promote the discipline on and off campus and attracts students to the field.

Identify with professional organizations and professionals of the discipline at all educational levels.

Assist in recruiting new Faculty members within the academic unit.

Assist students by continually monitoring and evaluating students’ progress and making appropriate referrals to academic and personal support services, as necessary, to meet student needs.

Demonstrate excellence in teaching.

Qualifications:

Terminal degree (Ph.D., D.Sc., or equivalent) in Computer Science or a closely related field.

Demonstrated expertise in computer science, including but not limited to algorithms, software engineering, databases, and computer networks.

Prior teaching experience at the graduate level is preferred.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Commitment to fostering a diverse and inclusive academic community.

Ability to work effectively in both in-person and online learning environments.

Must be within commuting distance of Los Angeles Education Center (CA Hybrid with Residencies)

Must be within commuting distance of the Louisville Education Center (KY/IN Hybrid with Residences)

Compensation:

$1000-$1500 per credit hour taught
