What You Can Expect

As the Cybersecurity Intern, you'll support efforts to protect the University of Iowa's digital infrastructure, including cabling, control networks, and metering systems, through technical writing, asset management, and cybersecurity documentation.

Independently perform data collection and analysis, conducting field assessments at campus plants

Create and maintain cybersecurity documentation, including security plans, incident procedures, and asset inventories

Assist in monitoring security logs, analyzing network traffic, and developing security training materials

What You’ll Bring

Must be an enrolled student at the University of Iowa or Kirkwood Community College

Familiarity with technical writing, document organization, or cybersecurity principles

Additional Details

Daily attendance at a worksite is required

Must be willing and able to comply with all ENGIE ethics and safety policies

Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Tools to create documents, presentations, spreadsheets, pivots, and charts

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is not exposed to weather conditions

Compensation

Salary Range: $21.50 – $32.00 USD hourly

This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.

ENGIE complies with all federal, state, and local minimum wage laws. Actual salary offered may vary depending on geography, experience, education, internal pay alignment, or other bona fide factors.
