The City of O'Fallon, MO is looking to hire a reliable Maintenance Worker I - Stormwater.

Our Maintenance Worker I positions earn competitive hourly rates from $20.94 to $31.41 (top of scale) an hour.

Your first year you can expect to make a starting salary of $20.94 hourly.

rnA DAY IN THE LIFE AS A MAINTENANCE WORKER I - STORMWATER rnAs part of our Street Department, you will be responsible for assisting in the maintenance and repair of the City's storm infrastructure.

Generally, your schedule will be daytime hours Monday through Friday, with required shifts during winter street clearing events.

rnOther duties and responsibilities include: rnrnRepairing storm sewer structures.rnPerforming dye tests of storm sewer structures to ensure proper water flow.rnExcavating and repairing underground pipes and structures.rnFilling sinkholes.rnInspecting and cleaning high flow areas following rainstorms.rnRepairing driveways and yards.rnCleaning basins and unclogging storm lines.rnOperating a variety of equipment, including excavators, ski loaders, backhoes and other assigned equipment.rnMaking improvement and updates to the stormwater system.

rnAssisting with snow removal.rnrnWe're looking for someone who has knowledge of the maintenance and repair of municipal stormwater systems as well as the operation and preventative maintenance of a variety of equipment.

This person should be someone who can be relied upon to perform their daily tasks in varying weather conditions, including inclement weather.

This person can expect to be exposed to noise, dust, dirt, grease and machinery with moving parts that requires the use of protective devices such as masks, goggles, gloves, etc.
