Plano, TX - Hourly Range 20- 21hr (6am-2:30 pm)

Job Brief

The Quality Inspector I is responsible for performing routine inspections of products, materials, and production processes to ensure that they meet company and industry standards for quality, safety, and performance. This role plays a key part in identifying defects, non-conformance issues, and opportunities for improvement in a fast-paced manufacturing and technology environment.

Responsibilities

Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections on materials, components, subassemblies,

and finished products to ensure they meet quality specifications.

Use measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other precision instruments to conduct inspections.

Verify that products conform to engineering drawings, specifications, and custome requirements.

Document inspection results by completing inspection reports, checklists, and quality records.

Identify non-conforming materials and communicate findings to the production, engineering, and quality teams.

Assist with root cause analysis and corrective actions for product and process issues.

Monitor production processes to ensure adherence to company standards and regulatory requirements.

Support internal audits and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the

Quality Assurance department.

Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring that all inspection tools and equipment are calibrated and functioning properly.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., engineering, production, and supply chain) to address quality concerns.

Requirements

Proficiency with MS Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Proficiency with mechanical and electronic measurement and inspection equipment (e.g. micrometers, calipers (digital and vernier), drop and depth gauges, microscopes, etc.)

Familiarity with ERP transactions.

Ability to read and work from engineering drawings.

Strong attention to detail and ability to identify defects or inconsistencies
