Senior Software Engineer (API/Python)

Salary: $140-180k

Theessential duties and responsibilitiesfor this role will require you to do the following:

Create new APIs and services for new and existing products

Contribute to development of web crawling and data processing services

Refactor code base time to time

Performance optimizations and cost reducing practices

Education and work experiencerequirements are:

Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering or Computer Science

Minimum 8+ years of full-time hands-on experience

Strong CS background

A background in refactoring large-scale systems

Strong experience with Selenium, Beautiful Soup and web crawling techniques

Strong experience in Python for development of applications and APIs

To be considered for this position, you would need to meet, at a minimum, theknowledge, skills, and abilitieslisted here:

Proven track record of launching and maintaining large-scale web products

A good foundational knowledge of OOP languages, operating systems, data structures, algorithms, and complexity trade-offs

Solid knowledge of SOLID, TDD principles

Knowledge of Elastic Beanstalk and other AWS services

Strong communications skills both written and verbal

Extra Pointsfor:

Experience with relational or columnar databases (like AWS Redshift)

This position has potential to be promoted to Director or VP of Engineering for the right candidate.

Base salary range: $140-180k
