Summary
A Staff Scientist position in Molecular and Cellular Biology is available in Dr. Lisa McClendon’s laboratory in Bert O’Malley’s group. The Research Associate will join our exciting research programs to study wound healing properties of steroid receptor coactivation by small molecule drugs in the heart, brain and skin. The studies will use state-of-the-art technologies, including RNA/ChIP-seq, proteomics, metabolomics, FACS sorting and genetically engineered mouse models, including lineage-tracing mouse models. Animal experience required. Experience with mouse myocardial infarction surgical procedures will be considered a strong candidate.

Job Duties
Responsibilities will be focused on bench level scientific activities and the efficient preparation of well-documented materials suitable for FDA IND-enabling studies.
Assists other members of our research team and communicate closely with them to perform complex multi-person scientific tasks.
Plans, directs and conducts research experiments.
Evaluates and analyzes data.
Develops research techniques and performs applications required for specific research projects.
Documents results of experiments and reports to principal investigators.
Performs other job related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Doctoral Degree. Experience may not be substituted in lieu of degree.
Three years of post doctoral research experience.
