A small construction company located in Rockdale County is looking for a hands-on Controller to provide accounting leadership to their wonderful team. This position will be worked onsite in their office.
If you have a strong background as an Accounting Manager but have not yet had the opportunity to move into a Controller position, this is a great opportunity for you! Candidates with construction, electrical or mechanical services experience are desired.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop a system of financial controls and financial reporting
Develop and update budgets, forecasts, and reporting tools/information
Perform financial analysis on a monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis
Maintain work-in-progress reports and the general ledger
Perform month-end close
Assist Leadership with important decisions by being a good steward of the company’s financial resources
Supervise the accounting staff, which includes an AP Specialist, an AR Specialist, and other financial assistants
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
A minimum of 5-10 years combined accounting & accounting management experience in construction, electrical, mechanical services, etc.
A bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred, but not required
Previous experience building or turning around an accounting team
Excellent interpersonal skills
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Proven analytical and problem-solving skills
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS: a salary of $92,000 - $105,000 depending on match to experience requirements, plus medical, dental, vision, STD, LTD, and Life Insurance benefits. There is also a 401k, PTO as well as a Tuition Reimbursement Program.
