Summary
The I.T. / Embedded Systems Developer helps develop new products and troubleshoot and supports company products and systems.
The I.T. / Embedded Systems Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and troubleshooting small-scale electronics projects.
Essential Functions
1. Prompt and regular in-person attendance.
2. Design, prototype and develop electronics projects using Raspberry Pi, ESP32, and Arduino platforms.
3. Write, test, and debug Python code for embedded systems and hardware interfacing. Test and update systems at industry standard intervals.
4. Troubleshoot hardware and software issues, identifying and implementing effective solutions. Provides technical consultation, training and support as designated by manager.
5. Produces technical documentation regarding the configuration, testing and use of systems.
6. Research and source components, tools, and methodologies to support project requirements.
7. Strong problem-solving skills with a track record of independently resolving technical challenges.
8. Self-motivated, with a proactive approach to task management and project delivery.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time, 4 day a week on-site position with one remote work day after 90 days of employment. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday,8:00 am to 4:30 pm with a 30-minute unpaid meal break. The schedule may be modified by management and infrequent evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
Travel
Travel to other customer sites within the continental United States may be required.
Required Education and Experience
1. Proven experience with Raspberry Pi, ESP32, and Arduino for electronics projects.
2. Intermediate level knowledge of PCs, network hardware, operating systems and software.
3. Proficiency in Python programming for embedded systems and hardware control.
4. Familiarity with sensors, actuators, and communication protocols (e.g., I2C, SPI, UART).
Preferred Education and Experience
1. Knowledge of C/C++ or other programming languages used in embedded systems.
2. Background in PCB design or soldering for custom hardware solutions.

1. Valid Drivers License.
2. U.S. Citizenship.
3. Must hold or be able to obtain a DOD Top Secret level clearance (at minimum).
4. Must be able to obtain a passport.
5. Must pass a DOT/FAA regulated drug screening.
