3D Structured Light Measurement Specialist

Join us at Howmet Aerospace in LaPorte, IN as a 3D Structured Light Measurement Specialist. Your key role will be programming and utilizing advanced equipment like Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs) and Blue Light Scanners to inspect and ensure castings, patterns, and fixtures meet stringent specifications.

Deploy cutting-edge 3D CAD tools such as GOM, ATOS, UniGraphics, and more to interpret complex geometries, performing inspections and generating insightful color maps.

Operate a variety of machines and hand tools for meticulous inspection processes.

Effectively convey inspection outcomes to product engineers.

Support engineering and manufacturing with programming expertise and data management.

Conduct routine production checks as necessary.

What does success look like for you?

High school diploma or GED equivalency.

Proficient experience with GOM software is a must.

Skills in reading technical blueprints, instructions, and inspection protocols.

Expertise in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, and UG tools.

Savvy with CMMs including their programming aspects.

Hands-on familiarity with Layout Inspection practices.
