Job Description

The SAP Business Analyst – Finance supports the design, implementation, and maintenance of the SAP Finance (FI) and controlling modules within the SAP S/4HANA environment. This role collaborates with business stakeholders, functional teams, technical IT teams, PMO and end users to translate financial business needs into effective SAP solutions and ensure seamless financial operations across the enterprise. Responsibilities include facilitating meetings, gathering requirements, and supporting planning, training, and communication efforts. The analyst will also develop functional specifications, test plans, training materials, deployment strategies, and documentation to support finance systems and processes.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

Act as a liaison between business team, technical team, Audit & compliance team to gather, analyze and document requirement for SAP S4 finance and controlling process.

Configure SAP FICO modules (AP, AR, GL, AA, TM, CO) to meet business requirements

Develop functional specifications and technical specifications for RICEFW objects

Collaborate with cross functional team (SAP Ariba, SAP Success factor) for integrated solutions

Provide end-user training, support, and troubleshooting of SAP FI/CO issues

Maintain documentation for configuration, process and training materials

Clarify and deepen the understanding of business processes, pain points, business needs, and desires of stakeholders.

Lead and continually identify opportunities for improvement and efficiency in business processes and systems.

Support, manage, deploy, and communicate enterprise application upgrades, enhancements, and maintenance.

Identify and resolve end user gaps in application use skills and business process understanding.

Perform unit, integration, and regression tests and document results.

Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, policies, and corporate objectives.

Other duties as required.

REGULATORY:

Ability to obtain racing and/or gaming licenses as required in any jurisdiction where CDI operates. The Gaming industry is highly regulated and as such demands an extensive background check to obtain a license. Must be 21 years of age or older.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Business Administration, or a related field; equivalent work experience will be considered.

Experience with enterprise SAP systems preferred, including S4/HANA and Analytics Cloud.

Firm understanding of finance and accounting practices and terminology.

3+ years of experience as SAP FICO business analyst or similar role

Strong knowledge of SAP Finance and controlling processes.

Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/ WORKING CONDITIONS:

Extended periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

Regular use of a keyboard and mouse for typing and navigating software.

Viewing a computer screen for prolonged periods.

Ability to manipulate paperwork, including filing, sorting, and organizing.

Moving within the office environment to attend meetings, use office equipment, or interact with colleagues.

Occasional lifting of office supplies or paperwork (up to 20 pounds).

Speaking and listening to colleagues and clients in person, over the phone, or via video conferencing.

Working in a climate-controlled office environment with moderate noise levels.

Performing repetitive tasks such as data entry or document preparation.

Working under artificial lighting conditions typical of an office environment, which may include fluorescent or LED lighting.

Role is onsite five days a week at the Louisville, KY CDI headquarters office.
