Summary

The US Quality Associate Director will be responsible for leading the quality organization at the US BD Distribution Centers that are under US Region (Covington, Four Oaks, Plainfield, Redlands, Sparks and Otay) ensuring that warehouse and logistics operations meet quality, regulatory and customers’ requirements.

Job Responsibilities

Lead and manage the quality teams, working close to the Distribution Centers leadership to ensure Quality objectives are met and integrated into overall Supply Chain objectives.

Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities to ensure quality excellence

Collaborate with regional and global leaders to ensure that all the US DCs adequately support and implement processes to meet regulatory and customer requirements

Facilitate and guarantee means of interaction of regulators and customers with BD, and in case of any improvement required, ensure that the processes are reviewed and properly changed

Manage and control quality related costs at the Distribution Centers

Drive performance improvement for all Quality KPIs and actively participates in corrective action activities

Functional leadership of all Quality leaders responsible for the DCs

Facilitate the implementation of the Culture of Quality, ensuring Compliance, Customer Experience and Efficiencies are always considered in the DCs processes

Ensure all DCs associates who directly or indirectly work in the operation are trained in robust procedures

Education and Experience

Minimum B.S. or B.A – Science or Engineering Degree. MSc or PhD preferred

Minimum 10 years of experience leading a Quality function

Minimum 5 years of experience dealing with Logistics/Supply Chain

Knowledge and Skills

CFR 210/211/820, ISO 9001/13485 requirements

Good Warehouse and Distribution Practices

SAP quality functionalities

Analytical thinking and problem solving skills

Multi-functional working matrix

Influencing others

Physical Demands

Ability to travel up to 50% (domestic mostly, some overnight)
