Volt is immediately hiring for Receptionist/Basic Office Services in Alameda, CA
As a Receptionist/Basic Office Services you will:
1. Greet and welcome visitors with a warm and professional demeanor.
2. Provide information to employees and visitors and determine the nature of a guest's visit.
3. Answer and direct phone calls to appropriate personnel using a computer-based switchboard and/or multi-line phone console.
4. Take and distribute accurate messages via email, text, and written communication, including handling consumer escalations.
5. Send preregistration invites to expected visitors and assist them with signing in to the digital visitor management system upon arrival.
6. Provide temporary day badges as appropriate.
7. Maintain a clean and organized reception area.
8. Manage incoming and outgoing mail and packages.
9. Perform miscellaneous basic office work activities such as typing, organizing, receiving and distributing mail, photocopying, filing, and scanning.
10. Assist with scheduling appointments and meetings.
11. Provide administrative support to various departments as needed.
12. Perform other duties as assigned.
The ideal candidate will have:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED), or equivalent combination of experience and education.
Previous experience in a receptionist or administrative role preferred.
Experience in customer service or hospitality is beneficial.Schedule:
1st Shift: 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Monday to FridayThis is a Full Time, Contract opportunity.
