QA Technician / Manufacturing Experience

Job Position: QA Technician

Location: Round Rock, TX 78664

Pay Rate: $20+

Shift: 3:30pm-12:00am

Description:

Ascend Staffing is now hiring a Quality Assurance Tech for our amazing client in Round Rock, TX.

Shift Information:

Monday - Friday, 3:30pm - 12:00am

Overtime as required

Must be able to train on 1st shift for 1-2 weeks

Pay is based on experience

Quality Assurance Tech Qualifications (Requirements / Skills)

High School Diploma or GED

Minimum 3 years of technical quality assurance experience

Broad working knowledge of statistical process control

Ability to read engineering drawings and specs

Advanced knowledge of measuring tools

Ability to perform rework assembly

Ability to lift 40-50lbs

Computer skills

Able to pass a background check and drug test

Able to work in the US

Quality Assurance Tech Tasks & Duties (What You'll Do)

Inspects manufactured, purchased and returned parts against drawings and other specifications.

Arranges first article inspections, first piece inspection and other special inspections.

Monitors and audits operator inspection logs, statistical process control records, check lists etc

Manages the upkeep and calibration of measuring equipment such as calipers and torques.

Performs receiving inspection on a special event basis.

Records inspection results in reports, logs, ERP, gage control software, supplier rejection forms etc.

Performs process and business audits and document audit outcomes.

Provides quality assurance training for the Production Team.

Performs rework on any product that does not pass inspection (electronic components)
