Surgery - Thoracic Physician Assistant

Location: Pennsylvania

Schedule: Full-time Monday-Friday 7 AM - 6 PM + night call Weekend call 7 AM - 7 AM with rounding Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our Cardiothoracic Surgery team as a First Assist. This role is crucial to our surgical team, supporting both scheduled and emergency cases. Key Responsibilities

First Assist in CABG, Thoracic, AVR, TAVR, and Aortic cases

Endoscopic vein harvesting

Participate in scheduled surgical cases & on-call rotations

Round on hospitalized patients and collaborate with the care team

Work independently while maintaining excellent communication with surgeons Qualifications

Board Certified NP or PA

Active Pennsylvania State License (Required)

Minimum 1 year of experience in Cardiothoracic Surgery

Proficiency in endoscopic vein harvesting

Certifications: ACLS, BLS, CPR

DEA license required Additional Information:

Level II Trauma Center with advanced surgical facilities
