Our Annapolis, MD based client, has an immediate opening for a Mid- Level SQL Developer. In this role, you will be joining a team of developers creating, managing, and maintaining databases using SQL to ensure that data is organized efficiently, accessed accurately, and leveraged effectively to support business functions and inform decision-making.

Responsibilities

Manage system performance by conducting diagnostics, optimizing queries, implementing performance tuning techniques, and ensuring reliable data backups.

Update and enhance existing databases and database management systems or oversee programmers responsible for making these modifications.

Test applications and databases, resolve issues, fix bugs, and apply necessary updates or improvements.

Design, coordinate, and enforce security protocols to protect data from accidental loss, unauthorized access, or malicious alterations.

Establish and promote standards and best practices for software usage and procurement to safeguard sensitive information.

Develop and maintain business intelligence tools, dashboards, and reports for data-driven insights

Qualifications

5+ years of hands-on, daily experience working with MS SQL Developer

Proficiency with SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS)

Extensive experience with MS SQL Server (version 2012 or newer), including designing advanced stored procedures and functions

Deep knowledge of SQL Server development best practices and performance optimization

Solid understanding of relational database architecture and design principles
