Purpose:We are seeking a motivated finance professional to join the Athene Group Treasury and Finance Organization. Our team is responsible for financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, Senior Management reporting, and rating agency strategy and communications related to the firm’s liquidity position, balance sheet, cash sources and uses, capital structure, and debt capacity.

The Treasury Analyst will provide support for Athene's interactions with rating agencies. This includes compiling annual surveys, establishing regular communication with rating agency contacts, and assisting with special topic conversations. The incumbent will work across all areas of the business to effectively communicate with the rating agencies.

Accountabilities:

Collaborate across Athene finance teams to create and consolidate presentation materials for Athene to preview Athene earnings’ results

Develop a working understanding of rating agency methodologies (S&P, Fitch, Moody’s, AM Best), including calculation of leverage and other rating agency metrics

Partner with multiple departments within Finance and Accounting to answer annual rating agency surveys as well as ad hoc questions.

Work with Athene capital management to understand projections and align internal model with rating agency

Assess and analyze evolving and newly emerging regulatory and rating agency capital requirements and work with the Director of Rating Agency to recommend actions where appropriate

Work with Finance leaders on rating agency support, capital management transactions, and other matters

Participate in ad hoc financial analysis projects as needed

Maintain comprehensive documentation of monthly/quarterly tasks and serve as key resource in developing and implementing process improvements

Qualifications and Experience:

3+ years of progressively responsible and related professional experience preferred

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and business acumen

Solid understanding of financial and accounting concepts

Highly analytical, ability to multi-task and meet deadlines

Excellent Excel-based modeling & strong PowerPoint presentation skills

Desired skills include: collaborative spirit, demonstrated ability to be flexible and change, excellent organizational skills & strong attention to detail

Bachelor’s Degree in finance, accounting, management, or economics or equivalent work experience is required
