Job Description

Job Summary:

To perform the quality testing on a plant-wide level, ensuring product meets customer specifications and performance requirements.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

None

Duties/Responsibilities:

Perform daily quality checks per control plan.

Record and report data from quality checks.

Review SPC Checksheets and Failures

Train personnel on quality alerts

Verify offline production cells effectiveness and record checks

Work with Quality Supervisor on floor to Manage product non-conformances

Assist with Process Capability Studies on programs to determine program efficiency.

Work directly with Line Techs and the quality group in analyzing and interpreting data from testing/Capability Studies in an attempt to predict trends.

Review finished production skids for product conformance prior to leaving work cells

Required Skills/Abilities:

Detail oriented with high visual acuity (must pass defect recognition test)

Positive, customer focused attitude

Attention to company metrics and deadlines with continuous effort to meet or exceed these expectations.

Microsoft Office proficiency, especially with Excel and Word

Great communication skills: in person, in writing and on the phone

Takes accountability for work and is responsible for quality and timeliness of own work.

Discretion and maturity are necessary to appropriately handle confidential information.

Works well independently and with others in a team

Receives and provides training effectively and with a positive attitude.

Reading, writing and basic math skills required.

Good time management and prioritization skills

Focus on safety, adherence to safety policies and continuous attention to housekeeping for the work area and the plant.

Education and Experience:

High school graduate or certificate of equivalency.

1-year Quality Inspection experience or equivalent

Tier 3-4 Inspection level status or equivalent experience

Physical Requirements:

Occasional sitting, use of hands, and talking or hearing.

Frequent reaching with hands and arms.

Regular standing and walking.

Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

Specific vision abilities required, including close vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus.

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk
