Overview & Responsibilities:

Overview: The Yacht Service/Maintenance Technician provides service and maintenance as needed to the new, used yacht inventory and retail customer yachts. This position includes general maintenance through a planned maintenance systems designed to maintain the product on a weekly, monthly, quarterly basis. Is responsible for performing mechanical repairs on vessels and equipment at off site locations and marinas.

Reports to: Service Manager / Service Team Leader

Key Tasks / Duties:

Conduct maintenance checks and repairs as described in the maintenance work order in a timely and professional manner.

Provide proper documentation, such as labor tickets, work order up-dates including a description of the work performed.

Perform mechanical repairs on vessels and equipment

Ensure all retail / warranty repairs are completed according to manufacturer and HMY guidelines

Complete repair work with the established timeframe provided by manufacturer or HMY internal guidelines

Ensure customer satisfaction by arriving for service calls in a timely manner and presenting a professional image of HMY

Follow-up with customer to ensure complete satisfaction

Inspect vessels, prepare and itemize estimate listing parts and labor

Communicate with service advisor and/or parts department to obtain necessary parts and supplies in a timely manner.

Notify service advisors when repairs beyond the scope of this position and follow-up on completion.

Update maintenance work order upon the completion of the service

Available to work additional hours when necessary

Travel to additional locations when necessary to maintain inventory or perform warranty repairs.

Maintain vehicle log, ensure a professional and clean appearance of company vehicle Project a knowledgeable and professional image at all times

Communicate professionally with customers and manufacturers to resolve issues.

Communicate and assist Captains as required in preparation for demos and vessel movement.

Follow all Company Policies and Safety Guidelines

Safely operate company vehicle and remain within posted speed limits

Maintain a safe driving record

Other duties as assigned
